Introduction
Journal of Science and Technology is the official Journal of the University of Peshawar being published by the Office of Dean, Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences. The Journal is multidisciplinary and published bi-annually. Manuscripts describing original research findings and in-depth critical evaluation are accepted. The journal does not accept case studies, review articles, short communication, and letter to the editor. The total length of a manuscript including figures, tables and references must not exceed 8000 words. Multi-part papers are not to be considered. Papers that are requested by the editors to be revised must be returned within 4 weeks or they will be regarded as withdrawn.

Instructions for Authors
Submission
Please submit an electronic copy of the manuscript to the editorial office preferably by
e-mail: nawaz57@yahoo.com, nawazkhan@upesh.edu.pk
Peer-Review
Each manuscript will be sent out for review to two potential reviewers to see its suitability for publication in the journal or otherwise.
Referees
Please submit, with the manuscript, the names, Work and e-mail addresses of TWO potential referees.
Originality
Each manuscript will be checked by turnitin to ensure that their contents are unpublished.
Language
The Journal accepts articles written in English only (American or British spelling, but with use of only one form in the same paper). The author should remember that the journal will read widely by those whose first language may not be English. Clarity and precision are best achieved by the use of short words and simple sentences. To avoid unnecessary errors, authors are strongly advised to use the 'spell-check' and 'grammar-check' functions of word processor.
Manuscript Preparation
The file shall be prepared in the native format of the word processor. All materials must be typed (12-point font) and double-spaced. The authors are allowed to use bold face, italics, subscripts, superscripts etc. wherever required. When preparing tables, if you are using a table grid, use only one grid for each individual table and not a grid for each row. If no grid is used, use tabs, not spaces, to align columns. A proper caption shall be provided for each Table. Number tables consecutively in accordance with their appearance in the text. Figures embedded in the line text are allowed. Prevent use of symbols in figures and captions.
Manuscript Structure
Title: The manuscript shall have a brief title
Author’s names, work address: List out all authors along with their work addresses
Corresponding author: Clearly indicate who will handle correspondence at all stages of refereeing and publication
Summary: A summary of about 250 words is required
Key Words: Immediately after the summary, at least five key words are required
Introduction: All manuscripts should have a short Introduction. This should state the reason for the work, with brief reference to previous work on the subject.
Material and Methods: Provide detailed descriptions of well-known techniques and equipment, preparations of reagents or solutions, and lists of common chemicals.
Results and Discussion: Results in the form of tables, figures and scholarly discussion in the light of available literature can be presented here
Conclusions: The significance of the results can be presented here.
Acknowledgements: List here those individuals who provided help during the research.
References: References should be cited using the Harvard Referencing System.
Citations in the text take the form of author names and dates (e.g. Abid, 1990). Sort references chronologically and then alphabetically within dates (e.g. Abid, 1990; Saeed, 2001; Ahmad, 2001). For references with three or more authors, use the first author’s name and ‘et al’ in the text. List all references at the end in alphabetical order.
It is particularly requested that (i) authors' name, initials, year (ii) the title of the paper, and (iii) the abbreviated/full journal name, volume, part number and first and last page numbers are given for each reference.
Example: Abid, A., Saeed, A., 2001. Computer Performance Indicators. J. Sci.Tech. Uni. Pesh., 15:40–45.
Copyright: Upon acceptance of an article, authors will be asked to submit Copyright Agreement.
Proofs: One set of page proofs will be sent by e-mail to the corresponding author for corrections if any.
Reprints: No reprints of individual articles will be provided. However, copies of the complete print issue will be provided. The authors will also be given access to their articles Online on Link: www.upesh.edu.pk

It is an open access journal that publishes papers submitted only in English language.
It is worth mentioning that journal of Science and Technology is HEC recognized in category Z. It is published bi-annually and dedicated to increasing the depth of research.
JS&T welcomes the submission of manuscripts that meet the general criteria of significance and scientific excellence in the subject area.
